Snake Lane 2009
The year's coming to a close and it's time to start thinking about Snake Lane 2009! Yep...it's nearly Winter and you can start looking forward crisp cold mornings and long runs out in preparation for your 10 mile challenge.
If you want to take part in a (fairly) flat, fast 10 mile run, then give Snake Lane a try. Like it says on the tin, it's a winding course the wends its way before the Yorkshire Wolds through some beautiful countryside. And although you can't yet enrol online, you can download an application form and send it in....
To download a PDF of the 2009 application form, follow this link.
Remember that this is a popular run, so if you'd like to take part, try to get your application in as soon as you can to avoid disappointment.

The Course
The Snake Lane course starts from Garths End in Pocklington and finishes in the Market Place. It's a fairly flat course that runs through Meltonby, Bishop Wilton, Bolton and Yapham Mill before returning to Pockington. As all runners say though...it may be fairly flat but there is a bit of a hill towards the end.
