How to Join
If you're interested in joining the club, just turn up at the Rugby Club at around 6.30pm any Wednesday and ask for a member of the Management Committee.
Come for a run a couple of times and see if you like it and, if you do, follow the link to this application form, fill it in and hand it in the next time you come to the Club.
Before you join, it is important for you to read our Welcome Pack
and and agree to abide by our Code of Conduct.
You may also wish to read the Club Constitution.
An annual fee of £30 is charged, due every April.
This membership fee includes your £10 registration with England Athletics
and qualifies you for discounts when entering races.
If you know of anyone under the age of 18 who would like to join the Junior Runners,
please refer to the Juniors page.
Training
This is known as our 'Speed Session' although the term is loosely meant. We meet at the Rugby Club once again although currently the facilities aren't available. Meet time is again around 6.30pm with a view to running at 6.45pm. As a group, runs vary from week to week with hill reps, fartlek, short loops, longer loops being done. The 'speed' element is totally dependent on how fast or slow you want to do these little tests at. No-one is going to shout at you and tell you to run faster. It is all up to you.
We meet at the West Green Car Park nearest the Doctors at 8.00am for runs of varying distances depending on who turns up. Sunday's turnout can be affected depending on Races and events the night before so it is best to put a feeler out or check on the social media site Pocklington Runners as to what is happening. Times sometimes vary and there may be 2 or 3 runs at different times.
